| Our Goals |
The Skate Association wants to advance and promote inline skating, especially aggressive skating, that is - skating on halfpipes, ramps, rails, curbs and other similar devices. We want to improve the skating scene, make it more popular, and establish a regular national (in Germany) series of contests. We don't see ourselves as a specialized group of halfpipe skaters, but instead we want to represent all aggressive skaters. So, if possible, we will support all kinds of activities. The more people who skate, no matter if street or vert, the better it is for all of us and the advancement of the sport.
Contest series For 2004 SAG is one of the organizers of the German Halfpipe Championship. In the long run, we want to establish a contest series across Germany. Street contests will also be organized starting next year.
Purchase, maintenance, and rental of sports equipment A transportable skate park with various equipment - like halfpipes, ramps and rails - which is kept in good condition by SAG, will make it possible to organize contests and put on events at many locations.
Sports for kids: courses, training camps, skating holidays, junior contests
Social activities: besides skating sessions, there will be barbecues and other meetings so skaters from different countries with different social backgrounds can get to know each other and make friends.
SAG wants to improve international relationships as well, and we want to bring together the various roll sport scenes like Halfpipe-Inline, Street-Inline, Fitness-Inline, Inline-Hockey, Skateboarding, Snake boarding etc
Information and public relations TV coverage, items on the internet and articles in magazines will spread the news about contests and sessions and will help make aggressive inline skating more popular.
